Paul (Doc) Morgan, well known to most of us for his hot licks on the piano, was recently appointed by Attorney General McCormack of Massachusetts as an expert in a highly controversial award of land damages figuring in a huge outlay by the Commonwealth for land taking in the Cape area. Paul heads his own company F. P. Morgan and Co., realtors in and around Boston, which company deals in appraisals, advice about sales and developments as well as financing. He is past president of New England Chapter of the American Institute of Real Estate and the Massachusetts Real Estate Association.

Bob McMillan joined the Harry M. Frost Company in an executive capacity on July 1. Bob at one time was advertising manager of Thomas J. Lipton Company, Hoboken, N. J. He previously held executive positions with N. W. Ayer of Philadelphia, Young and Rubicam of New York and Lever Brothers. He formed his own agency in Boston in 1953.

Following a practice dating back to the middle twenty's, 1923 men all over the country gathered this fall, in groups of various sizes, to celebrate their 1919 matriculation into Dartmouth College. The SumnerSollitt farm in South Haven, Mich., was the scene of the Chicago Area powwow which convened September 21 to 24. A new English croquet game with an entirely new set of rules was introduced at this party. Charlie Rice established a new golf record on the apple orchard golf course. Art Everett arrived with his bride of last June, Adah, and she won immediate and unqualified approval. Bettye Sollitt, Irish Flanigan, Barbara Bixby and Florence Miner put on a water ballet at the swimming pool. The Williams brought Meredith, the Turnbulls their Mike, and Nancy shared the hostess honors with her mother, Bettye.

The Charlie Rices, Babe Miners and SamHomes were buffeted around by Hurricane Esther but persevered and finally made South Haven.

Bridge games, poker games, horse back rides, a Holstein classification of Sumner's herd, the opening of the Sollitt guest house near the river, singing and reminiscing far into the night will long be remembered. Eric Linton of Chicago night club fame repeated his 1960 performance of being Master of Ceremonies. His recordings of 1923 renditions of song and verse are duly being preserved for future reunions. Rumor has it that Eric will find his way to Hanover in June 1963. If he does the success of our 40th reunion is assured.

A beautifully tooled leather guest book was presented to the host and hostess with pictures of all the guests and poems and prose suitable for the occasion properly inscribed.

Those attending were as follows: Major Bird; Chet and Barbara Bixby; Hip and Vera Conley; Warren and Marion Cook; Art and Adah Everit; Irish Flanigan; Bud and Connie Freeman; Sam and Mim Home; Bill Juergens; Bill and Dot Kimball; Bob Maxwell; Tru and Bunny Metzel; Babe and Florence Miner; Bud and Ginny Pope; Charlie and Jean Rice; Sumner and Bettye Sollitt and Nancy Nye; Len and Eugenie Turnbull and Mike; Karl and Dear Williams and Meredith.
