Never one to let dust accumulate in his vicinity, except that which he himself has stirred-up, Ellie Mover has now added radio to the various mediums through which he dispenses the glad tidings of his profession. Last December Ellie appeared on a special CBS radio program for the purpose of bringing all concerned up-to-date on the latest developments in the nursery. "Mothers will see nursery products developed from new plastics, aluminum and other 'miracle' materials which will weigh a fraction of today's counterparts and serve a myriad of purposes. They will be as easy to fold and handle as today's best products, yet provide a multitude of services in one unit." Ellie suggested that perhaps the most striking changes "will be in the continued development of more multi-purpose nursery products ... adaptable to a wide variety of nursery needs in one minimum size unit. "This ... will mean more room around the house, a smaller family investment in nursery equipment, an easier job on infant care for the parents, and more comfortable, contented babies." Well, Ellie, I don't know what 1945 can do now to help cover this "New Frontier" but you certainly are doing your best. On behalf of our grandchildren, "put 'er there, Bunny Bear."

I am continually amazed at the itinerant nature of our class. You'd think that after fifteen years, 1945 would have achieved a somewhat stationary and settled status. But no. Every month a long list of address changes passes through my hands and I am hard pressed, to say the least, to keep the class records in any recognizable condition. So not having anything better to do this month, let me bring you up to date on some of the latest perambulations. Frank Aldrich will be found in his old haunts but at a new address: Caixa Postal 4374' Janeiro, Brazil; Dr. Dean Miller now at 1532 West Mitchell St., Milwaukee 4, Wis.; Val Schuler, Vice-president of Military Packaging Co. of Florida, with new residence of 670 Mojave Trail, Maitland, Fla.; Bob Cate is off somewhere for the State Department so to reach him, write c/o his mother-in-law, Mrs. Forrest B. Royal, Apt. 312, 1725 17th St. N.W., Washington 9, D. C.; Russian language expert John Washburn will be found at 1823 Quincy St. N.W., Washington 11, D. C., nyet?" (historical aside: it was in 1823 that John Quincy Adams promulgated the Monroe Doctrine - this column strives to be educational as well as informative); P.O. Box 1193, Corpus Christi, Tex., is the mailing address of John Mortimer; Johnny Haiti is located at 8101 Flower St., Takoma Pk. 12, Md. (you must be close to Roland Beers, John, ever see him?); Al McAliley must have fun with people who ask him where he's from; his address is R.F.D. .#1, Mars, Penna.; Al Russell lives out in the Indian country at 499 Seminole, Tecumseh, Mich.

Ellie Mover and his Assistant Class Agents will soon appeal to you on behalf of the 1961 Dartmouth Alumni Fund. The goal this year is one million dollars and everyone must do his part. I'm counting on you to uphold 1945's fine record.
