The annual meeting of the Dartmouth Club of Sarasota was held April 6, and was The largest in the six-year history of the Club. It was also the first dinner meeting attended by the Dartmouth ladies. Forty-eight persons, including several friends of the College but not Dartmouth men, were present to hear Herb Hill, head of the History Department, and to elect officers for the year 61-62.

The meeting was called to order by outgoing President, Gil Swett '17, who introduced the guests; he then called for the secretary-treasurer's report which was read and approved as read.

President Swett then called upon the nominating committee composed of Clark W. Collins '19, Chairman, Alan D. Catterall '21 and F. Paul Clements '19, to present its slate of candidates. The committee nominated Robert C. Hardy '25, for President, Sumner B. Emerson '17 for Vice President and James Bonnyman '38 for Secretary-Treasurer. There being no nominations from the floor, the slate was declared elected unanimously.

Gil Swett then introduced the featured speaker of the evening, Herb Hill. Herb gave an excellent talk on the meaning of security in this country and the means by which it might be achieved. After the formal talk, there was an interesting discussion period, during which Herb answered many questions, not only about his talk, but also about the College.

After the discussion the meeting was brought to an end by a rising vote of thanks to outgoing President Gil Swett, who has done such an outstanding job this past year.
