The annual spring meeting of the Dartmouth Club of Cape Cod was held at the Oyster Harbors Club in Osterville June 6. Fifty-six Dartmouth men, their wives and guests were present. After the reception and a fine roast beef dinner a business meeting was held. The Secretary-Treasurer’s reports were read and accepted. A discussion of the general condition of the Club predominated this part of the meeting. The need of a greater interest and participation by more members was pointed out by the secretary. Monthly meetings from October to July is the plan to accomplish this. It was felt that from these meetings active committees for enrollment and scholarship could be formed and other activities more valuable to the College could take shape.
After the business meeting the Club greatly enjoyed a talk by Henry L. Terrie Jr. of the Dartmouth College English De- partment. His subject was “Student Vo- cabulary.” The audience was most receptive and obviously delighted at what Mr. Terrie had to say.
