Sacramento Dartmouth men and wives gathered at the home of Dr. Lew Lambert’40 to enjoy swimming, other sports requiring only moderate exertion, and a delicious barbequed lamb dinner. Once again the main entree was provided by Al “MainCourse” Green ’39 who, fortunately for us, is head buyer for a wholesale meat firm operating in our area. The event, held Saturday June 16, was attended by 36, a fine turn-out for our second annual barbeque.
Joining our Sacramento group for the first time and fairly recent Sacramento resi- dents were Jerry Evans ’54, Ed Eisenberg ’32 and wives, and Matt Weinberg ’55, Spe- cial Counselor to Governor Brown. Also present were Barlow Goff ’53, Ed Klee ’34, Bob Van Slambrouck ’39, Jim Hartman ’46, Grant Gilbert ’5O, Jim Streng ’52, Bill Streng ’5O, A 1 Green ’39, Charlie Cusack ’43, Bob Loughry ’39, Aaron Epstein ’53, Fred Chamberlin ’45 all with wives, and Norris Knosher ’6O. Dr. and Mrs. James Dowrie and Dr. and Mrs. Augustus Schunke, parents of Dartmouth undergrads, were with us also.
