Most of the time things are pretty quiet around home while those of you who live far away seem to be making all the news. At last one of my '48 neighbors has made the papers, so I'd better start right at home this time.

The New York Times and other local papers carried a picture of John Hatheway when the announcement was made of his promotion to Vice President of Young & Rubicam, a large and very fine advertising agency. For several years John has been the account representative handling the General Foods account for the agency. With his busy schedule I hope John and Pat have time for a little skiing this winter, even though they might not be able to make another trip to Europe for awhile.

Al Clark who lives in Barre, Mass., not too far from the Ware High School where Al is a mathematics teacher, has really been kept busy lately. Julie, his wife, decided to go back to school several years ago and last June received her degree from Worcester State College. She is now a teacher with Al in Ware. The Clarks have three sons, David, fourteen; Dana, fourteen; and Drew, twelve, so it takes fast action and cooperation in the Clark family to get everyone off to school in the morning. Al says he is chief cook and bottle washer.

I just learned that Harvey Clarke left the Reynolds Metals Co. to join Revere Copper and Brass as a salesman of aluminum products. Harvey, Mary Ann, and their two daughters moved from Buffalo to Trenton, Mich., near Detroit, which is Harvey's new base of operations.

Don Morrison liked Denver so much when he lived there last year that he has returned after a short stay in Minnesota. Don is now with a firm called Career Place-ment Inc. in Denver and he, Muriel, and the children live in Evergreen.

After many years as a teacher and guidance counselor at Vermont Academy, TedTischler has moved to Rumson, N. J., to become assistant to the headmaster at the Rumson Country Day School. This should be a good opportunity for Ted to see some of his classmates down here in civilization, and we hope Ted gets used to the change without too much nostalgia. I hope he can make reunion and take some more class pictures next time.

A new arrival on the North Shore area of Chicago, Wilmette to be exact, is the Ray Richard family. Ray is now a partner in a firm called Gustafson & Co. whose principal office is in Palatine, Ill.

Two more who have moved recently are Woody Kirschbaum, who is now living in St. Louis, and Jim Woods. Jim has been living in a suburb of St. Paul, Minn., and now is located in Hudson, Ohio. Last I heard Jim was with Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing.

Moving up the ladder nicely with Raytheon is Paul Twomey. Paul has just been promoted to become division controller for the microwave and power tube division, one of the very important divisions of the company.

One of our classmates who has had an extremely busy year is John Boggia. John is an engineer with General Motors in their assembly plant in Framingham, Mass. As you know this has been a very big year for G.M., and I imagine also for John. He and Dorothy and daughter Cheryl, nine, and Johnny, six, live in Lexington.

During reunion I had a very enjoyable visit with Herb Call and I don't believe I gave you a report on Herb's activities. He is a vice president of R. P. Burroughs Co. in Manchester, N. H. This firm designs and installs pension plans, and Herb does the actuarial consulting for them. He and Marjorie have a son Bob now seventeen, Nancy, fourteen and Beverly, thirteen.

Sometime ago our new class treasurer, Bob Arnold, sent out our class dues. If you haven't sent your dues to Bob as yet, let this serve as a reminder because we want to get Bob started on his new job the right way.

Hope to see some of you at the Princeton game. Till then, let's keep our Green team rolling.
