The Holiday Season is over, leaving behind a tinseled trail of pleasant memories. The weather was obliging too, and it was frequently possible to get in three or four sets of tennis, clad in shorts and a light sweater, and then take off for an afternoon of skiing on the crowded slopes. All on the same spring-like day.

The Christmas luncheon went well. Sixty or seventy men attended the traditional getacquainted and familiarize-yourself affair. Alumni and undergraduates mingled with the interested high school prospects, and everyone enjoyed the "Visit to Dartmouth" film that followed a good meal. Dr. LouisBenezet '36, president of Colorado College, was on hand and Don McMichael '53, regional enrollment chairman, introduced him as well as the key people in the committees that are functioning now in the current enrollment effort: Monte Pascoe '57, BobWoodberry '54, and Bob Montgomery '56. All of our energies may be needed in the weeks' work to come as the completed applications are processed, and interview forms return to Denver.

The Denver Club, resplendent in gold and silver, was the locale chosen for the annual cocktail party. A good group showed up, among them Bob Hackstaff '51, Bill Garrity'37, Bill Murane '54, expatriate Roger Ewy'53 (returning to the fold after a long sojourn abroad pursuing his vocation of industrial photography), John Peterson '53,Bob Austin '52, Bill Scott '52, and many others - plus an attractive assortment of wives, dates, and undergraduates.

Bob Woodberry '54 and Marlinda Mason were married on December 30 at St. Martin's Chapel. After the ceremony they passed under a triumphant arch of lacrosse sticks, held aloft by the other muscular members of the Denver Lacrosse team. A reception followed and enough Dartmouths were on hand to swing the downstate vote if there had been an election. They made a handsome pair and departed for Mexico in a traditional flurry of rice. So the mighty oaks come down.

The telegraphic tom-toms from Hanover have confirmed the willingness of President Dickey to attend, as honored guest, the annual meeting in March - the weekend of the 17th. Concurrently the Alumni Fund committee agents from this area and enrollment people will probably meet. Official guests will also include John D. Dodd '22, College Trustee and chairman of the Dartmouth Alumni Fund, and Clifford L. Jordan Jr. '45, executive secretary of the Alumni Fund.
