At Freshman Fathers' Weekend, five of us were on hand to attend classes, relax at smokers, and generally have a wonderful 48 hours with our sons. Any of you who have opportunity to take in these affairs in subsequent years should make sure you don't miss the fun. Sheldon Wagner and I felt a little out of place, for the rest of the '37 contingent, were all lawyers; Monk Amon,Charlie Blaisdell and Ed Wynot. Monk of course practices in Boston with Hale and Dorr; Charlie is in New York specializing in gas and oil land legal matters; and Ed is in partnership in Manchester, N. H., with John L. Sullivan '21, one of Dartmouth's trustees.

CharJie Blaisdell's son is making quite a name for himself as an actor. The Carnival Show this year was "Li'L Abner," and Charles Jr. held down the role of "Marrying Sam." . . .

Monk Amon filled me in on the gathering of our Boston clan at a cocktail hour just prior to the Annual Alumni dinner last month. Those on hand included Monk, Bib Bankart, Les Barrett, Crawf Hinman, Bill Brown, Art Tucker, Ed Perry, Al Romano,Gib Reynolds, Walter Graf, Stan Berenson,Albie Chester, George Skinner, Larry Brooks, John Haadrahan and Fran Fenn.

On a trip out through Kansas City recently, I had a brief but delightful visit with Pat Uhlmann who is quite active in alumni affairs in that area. As a matter of fact, last summer some 75 alumni and wives gathered at Pat's farm for the annual K.C. Alumni Picnic. From Pat I learned that Arne Lanner is in the accounting business in Kansas City, and that Tom Reck is in the steel fabricating business in St. Joseph, Mo. Tom has just completed a year as president of the Chamber of Commerce in St. Joe. He and Pat go riding and fox hunting together nearly every weekend, all of which sounds like fun.

The final item in my dwindling supply of news concerns Ray Bauer who recently became president and chief executive officer of the Union County Trust Co. in Elizabeth, N. J. After graduating from Tuck School, Ray earned a law degree at Rutgers, and then joined the Linden Trust Co. He became vice-president in 1951 and then president in 1958. The Linden Bank was merged with the Union County Trust last year.

Have you got your plans all made for June 14-17?
