For the fourth month in a row, there are no engagements to report. In fact, the last one we did announce has now achieved more permanent status. On February 4, the knot was tied in New York City for Woody Klein and Audrey Lehman. A 1958 graduate of Barnard, Audrey is, or was, with Vang Airlines.

The patter of little feet in '51 homes, however, continues along its course towards deafening proportions. Ted Davidson is the proud father of new daughter, Margaret Lynn, the second for Ted and wife Ellie Fred Lord and wife Eleanor have also added a daughter, Julia, the third for them.

m Merle Thorpe is back in the corporate news again. Thorpe Arc Flame Associates recently acquired The Humphreys Corporation Merle is now president and a director of Humphreys.

From* Hartford (Conn.) comes word that attorney Paul Orth has become a member the firm of Hoppin, Carey and Powell. Paul is presently Chairman of the Hartford Junior Bar and a part-time instructor at the University of Connecticut School of Law.

Fellow lawyer Earle Tyler, in practice in Boston, has been recalled by the Air Force Reserve. Earle is now ferrying planes and cargo out of Grenier AFB, Manchester (N. H.), to England.

" We did report Dr. Blaine Boy den's marriage, but thanks to our ability to bury papers, including a letter dated Nov. 6, 1961, we neglected to add that Blame is now in San Francisco, "prepared to take care of sick eyeballs." Blaine and his bride have an apartment on Leavenworth St. with a view of Alcatraz.

Some months back, Class Chairman HerbKnight got the brilliant idea of having members of the Class Executive Committee supply Karcher and myself with news each month. This month's report comes from Dave Saxton in Winston-Salem, N. C., where Dave is engaged in new product development for R. T. Reynolds. (Dave: Regardless of what you call it, it s still a weed.)

Whether it is the remoteness of the South or simply Dave's nose for news, he reported three hot news items. Jim Culberson, who not too long ago became an Assistant VicePresident of the Wachovia Bank m Greensboro, is now a Vice-President.

Dartmouth Yankees are doing a good job of taking care of the South's ophthalmological needs. Ed Isbey, now in Asheville, is the second '5l to invade the Tarheel State within a year. (Paul Simel, as previously reported, hangs his shingle in Greensboro.) Ed recently gave a paper at the Duke University Medical School.

Neal Crampton is in Charlotte: and the senior '51 Tarheel (with five years) is Jack Sutton, who is a manufacturer's representative for building materials operating out of Winston-Salem.

As for regional representation, Class Agent Dick Rogers reports some difficulty in lining up Assistant Agents for the Alumni Fund in some areas, including some with good '51 representation residence-wise. As of February 17, Dick had sixty men lined up. But let us hope that the real '51's don't need too much needling to contribute their fair share.

In the course of the Glee Club's spring tour, Pete Bixby is in charge of arrangements for the Montclair, N. J., concert. '51 parties have been suggested in connection with the Glee Club appearances, and we hope that they materialize.

Bob Maguire, Assistant Professor of Russian Civilization back in Hanover, participated in a panel session on "The Soviet Union Today" before a joint Board of Trustees-Alumni Council dinner in January.

Our concluding item concerns unexpected talent. We quote from "Kodakery" of Feb. 1, 1962: "Ninth floor sales girls are all for letting Allan Karctaer continue to attend their birthday parties at coffee break. On his birthday, he brought in a chocolatefrosted marble cake which he had baked."
