The Rev. James P. Breeden '56, bishop's vicar on the staff of St. Paul's Cathedral in Boston and consultant on civil rights to the Episcopal diocese of Massachusetts, was the guest preacher for the first Dartmouth College Service of the academic year on Oct. 13. He has been an active participant in civil rights demonstrations both in the North, where he directed the Negro boycott of Boston schools last June and the Freedom Schools offering special educational programs for Negro children, and in the South.
