A Dana Biomedical Library room housing a collection of rare books in the medical sciences and the memorabilia of the Medical School's founder, Dr. Nathan Smith, was named the Robert E. Quinn Memorial Room in recent dedication exercises. Dr. Quinn, a member of the Medical School faculty and a staff member of the Mary Hitchcock Hospital and Hitchcock Clinic, and Dr. Ralph E. Miller '24 died in a small plane crash in the Pemigewasset Wilderness of the White Mountains in the winter of 1959.
Chairman of the ceremonies was Dr. M. Dawson Tyson. Speakers were Dr. Modestino G. Criscitiello of Georgetown University Medical School, and a former member of the Dartmouth faculty, and Dr. Robert E. Nye of the Medical School faculty.
