Greetings from "Down East!" "Vacationland" more than lived up to its reputation with perfect weather and even one of the natives was heard to say about the summer It was a good 'un." As we sailed among the rocky spruce covered islands of Casco Bay with Mt. Washington, sixty odd miles away, clearly visible on the horizon, I often asked myself "I wonder what the king is doing today?"
While we are on sailing, I had the pleasure of seeing Walt and Joyce Baker recently. They summer on one of the islands in the bay and Walt is well known in local sailing circles for his success with his Ensign, "Sanderling." They have four children, ages seventeen to nine, who are also enthusiastic about the water. Walt is a vice president of the Society for Savings in Simsbury, Conn., where he and his family "winter."
Another summer visitor was John VanRaalte. John and Barbara stopped by for dinner on their way to visit their son at camp. From John's schedule, it is obvious that he is very busy not only at work but as class president. Barbara had been to the Far East earlier this year and had many interesting impressions and experiences to relate.
Ray and Gloria Richard have been in London for almost three years. Ray is vice president and managing director of Cummins Engine Company's United Kingdom operations. The company's newest plant in Darlington had the privilege of a visit from Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip and Ray emphasized how charming and gracious is the Queen.

He and Pat have two sons and a daughter and live in Chappaqua, N. Y.

He is manager of the Wallingford office and it was an appropriate occasion to be noted by company officials and local staff. He has been active in many community efforts including the Red Cross, United Fund, is newly elected president of the Rotary Club and serves annually as Wallingford's Santa Claus.
Special greetings go to Dick and NormaWeaver who had their first child, a son Bradley, born on June 24. I have been trying to prepare myself for the shock of the first grandchild in the Class so it comes as a pleasant surprise to report the latest child. Dick is president of A. H. Weaver Lumber Co. in Buffalo, N. Y., and among other activities is an ardent golfer.
