The freshman basketball team now stands at 2-2, losing for the second time to Vermont 74-72, this time in overtime. The '66s then came back to beat Norwich 79-52. Chris Kinum scored 12 points against the Cadets and continued to be a consistent scorer.
The '66 hockey team, still considered a strong sextet, lost its first game, 10-2, to the Silver Skates team of Ottawa, Canada. Besides the two wins reported last month, the Pea Greens defeated K.U.A., 7-2, early in January. They now stand 3-1 for the season.
The freshman swimming team kept pace with its varsity counterpart and bowed to Harvard 61-34, to even its season's record at 1-1. The freshman track team also lost its first meet 74-35 to the Cornell freshmen.
In other freshman action, the squash team lost its opener to Cornell 7-2 and the '66 wrestlers defeated Tufts 40-0.
