With spring only a few weeks away we can look back on this past winter with a warm feeling of nostalgia — it was that much like Hanover. Those who enjoy skiing, as many in our Club do, have enjoyed the finest season in many years. Even our local ski areas were sporting good or excellent conditions most of the season. Our "champ" skier, Club President Wood De Yoe '48, relives Dartmouth Outdoors each weekend as he takes his family to the slopes. His teaching has been so effective that he now follows THEM down the hill. C'est la vie, Woody!

This winter season has also been a very busy one for our Interviewing Team. Under the guidance of Howie Pitts '53 and JackMorris '53, our interviewers screened record numbers of Dartmouth applicants from our County area. The interviewing program serves a dual role, for while we are gaining additional information for the Admissions Office, we are also presenting a rational, informal agora of thought and opinion about Dartmouth that cannot be found in the annals of the College catalog. It is a challenging and interesting experience to participate in this program. Why not join us next season?

Our Program Chairman Dick Grassey '54 informs me that the Annual Bergen County Scholarship Spring Dance will be held on April 6 at the Ridgewood Country Club from 9:00 to 1:00. John Hoffer and his quintet will provide the music. A cocktail hour will precede the event and will start at eight. Strolling musicians will entertain during the cocktail hour. The cost will be $7.50 per couple as a donation to the Scholarship Fund, and dress is optional. So set aside the evening of April 6 for what will be, without a doubt, THE social event of the season.
