SENIOR Fellowships have been awarded to eleven juniors for advanced independent study next year. In concentrating personal study under a faculty adviser Senior Fellows select their own projects and are not required to take formal courses. They do write a comprehensive paper at the end of the year.

The Senior Fellows for 1963-64 and their fields of study will be: Larry M. Ayres, Boston, Mass., art; DeWitt T. Beall Jr., Parkersburg, W. Va., English; David G. Blanchette, Whitefield, N.H., geography; Alfred L. Horowitz, Chicago, Ill., philosophy; Michael J. Landay, Pittsburgh, Pa., biology; William M. LaRiche Jr., Cleveland, Ohio, French; Daniel H. Levine, New York, N.Y., international relations; Jules H. Marling Jr., Libertyville, Ill., economics; John R. Nichols, Edmond, Okla., phi- losophy; Phillip C. Schaefer, Webster Groves, Mo., chemistry; and Randall J. Weingarten, New York, N.Y., English.
