Our third year out. It doesn't quite seem possible. But then again, maybe you should check your hairline a little more carefully. It does seem to be easing back a little, doesn't it?

During an August visit to Hanover I had the good fortune of bumping into John Coe who had just returned from his Peace Corps assignment in Ethiopia. After just a few weeks at home John returned to Ethiopia for an additional two years with the Peace Corps, where he will serve as chairman of the music department of the University of Addis Ababa.

After two years at Dartmouth Med, JohnSchwarzell moved out to Ohio State University College of Medicine to continue his studies. It didn't take him long to realize that medical studies are much easier when you have the assistance of your own private nurse, and on September 6 he was married to Miss Linda Larcomb who just graduated from Ohio State's school of nursing. John feels that he will most likely be specializing in surgery.

Married on August 29 were Miss Carol Ott and Don Ulrich. The wedding party included Frank DeSerio '63 and John Prescott '63. After a Bermuda honeymoon Don and wife will set up housekeeping in Cambridge while Don continues his graduate work at MIT.

A quick note from Tom Foley informs us that he is back at sea, this time on the USS Coral Sea. His earlier tour on board the Kittyhawk provided him with quite an opportunity to see the Far East.

Married on June 27 were Miss Ann Miller of Mount Holly, N. J., and my old roommate Geoff Smith who is wandering around the country someplace with the Air Force. Gordie Williamson married Miss Marlene Richter of Bedford Hills, N. Y., on June 22. Mrs. .Williamson is a graduate of Pembroke College and was a teaching fellow in physics at Tufts University this past year. Gordie recently received his master's in physics at Brown and has just entered his first year at Harvard Law School. June 23 was the wedding date for Miss Carol Lyons, of Kingston, Pa., and EricMeyers. Mrs. Meyers graduated with honors from Wellesley College, Class of 1964, as a Biblical History major. Rick received his master's from Brandeis University in Near Eastern and Judaic studies. The couple left for Israel on July 1 where they are now continuing their graduate studies at Hebrew Union College Biblical and Archeological school and Hebrew University.

Joe Kolupke is now instructor of English at Illinois State University. He spent two years as a graduate assistant while completing work for his master's at the State University of lowa. And down in Lake Jackson, Tex., are Fran and Dick Zartler. Dick is an economics evaluation engineer with Dow Chemical Company in nearby Freeport. It sounds very much as if the Zartlers are rapidly taking to the Southern way of life. (Honestly, Dick, I'll try to answer your letter soon.)

A fine letter from John Walters has brought all kinds of news of doings from Jones Beach, L. I., to Charlottesville, Va. John is in his final year of law school at UVA and spent the summer on Wall Street with the law firm of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. Wife Nancy presented him with their first child on March 8 - Mark Gregory Walters. Other new arrivals, according to John, are a second child, this tune a boy, to Gail and Dave Usher, a girl to Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Rush, and one on the way for Terese and George Beller. John has managed, in spite of his law studies, to. keep up quite an interest in lacrosse, guiding the UVA freshman team to a fine 3-1 record. And as far as playing the game, it seems that he and Ernie Weymuller have been staying in shape by taking part in some pretty good games at Jones Beach along with several Dartmouth '63s, '64s, and '65s.

A few more weddings to pass on to you. June 7 was the big date for Miss Sandra Meyer and Jon Gershovitz. Sandra is a 1964 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and comes from University City, Mo. Jon received his master of social work degree this past year from the Columbia University School of Social Work and is now making his home with his wife in Clayton, Mo. Larry Hazzard took Miss Brenda Snell of Blue Point, L. I., as his wife in a June 27 ceremony. Mrs. Hazzard is an alumna of Colby Junior College and Wheelock College, and has been a teacher in Lake Forest, Ill. Larry received his master's from Northwestern University Graduate School of Business Administration and is now associated with the General Electric Company. Miss Mary Victor Jones and Charlie Giersch were married on June 21 in Garden City, L. I. Mrs. Giersch is a Holyoke '64 who also studied at the University of Lausanne. Charlie is presently a lieutenant in the Army. And on June 20 Miss Martha Scull was married to Jim Haines in the Princeton University Chapel. Mrs. Haines is a '62 graduate of Smith and is a candidate for an M.A. at Brown University. Jim has recently joined the department of modern languages at Mercersburg Academy, his own alma mater.

That about winds things up for this month. Please remember to keep the Alumni Records office informed of any changes in your address.
