With three matches still to play, the Dartmouth wrestling team is 3-2 for the season. The matmen were beaten by Springfield 22-7 and Coast Guard 17-9, two strong teams, and have edged Brown 15-14 and Wesleyan 16-14. As reported earlier they also topped Worcester Poly Tech.

Rick DuPuy continues to do an excellent job at 130 pounds. In the Wes- leyan match he pinned his opponent at 1:38 for the first period and gave the Indians a 5-3 lead. Other fine performances in that match were turned in by Denny Eberl at 137 lb., on a decision; Floyd Moore at 167 on a decision; and Pat Woodworth at 177 lb. on a pin. It was the first match for Moore, who has been sidelined with an injury. His return however, should strengthen the team in its final matches.

In addition to those men who recorded victories against Wesleyan, Jack Christ at 123, Tim 0'Keefe at 147, Ivars Bemberis at 157, and Wally Buschmann in the heavyweight division have all been in there battling.

The track team may have its one chance for victory when it meets Boston University. Up until now the tracksters have been on the short end of every score: Manhattan 83-26, Yale 60-45, Harvard 76-33, and Army 84-25.

There have been a few bright spots in the track picture, but not enough to add up to victory. Captain Lynn Bates went over the 14-foot mark in the pole vault against Army, but this was good enough for only third place. A pair of sophomores recorded the only Dartmouth victories of the meet with the Cadets. Bill Hayden was first in the broad jump with a leap of 22 feet 9 inches, and Jim Season was first in the 60-yard hurdles with a 7.7 finish.

The outlook, despite the new Nathaniel Leverone Field House, is not good for track. Dartmouth does not have the talent or depth that many of the Ivy League colleges have gathered, and this year's freshman team with a 1-3 record is far from strong. Its lone victory was against Yale, and it has lost to Cornell, Andover, and Harvard. The track team will definitely be looking for help from the Class of 1968.

The prospects of a winning season also appear slim for the Dartmouth squash team, now 2-7 for the season. After six straight defeats the squash team toppled Wesleyan 7-2. In this meet Wally Lord, Whit Foster, Dick Redington, Doug Judah, Olen Bunting, John Rapoport, and Lee Beyer recorded victories.

In one of their best matches to date and their most recent, the Indians were edged by Yale 5-4. Lord still in the number one position forced the Elis' Mike West to five games, before losing in the fifth 15-13. As it was, this was a deciding match for the Indians took the next four positions and lost the final four. Captain Hop Potter, returning to action after an illness, Foster, Judah, and Redington all posted wins. Redington also went five games against Yale, losing the first two, but coming back to take the last three.

In other squash matches since our last report, Penn defeated Dartmouth 7-2, and the Indians have bowed to Army 9-0, McGill 6-3, and Williams 7-2.
