The golf team would like nothing better than to match last year's 7-4 record or improve upon it. Its southern record, however, was three losses and one tie. The Indians lost to Old Dominion 7-5 and then tied the same team 6-6. They were beaten by George Washington 7-2 and Maryland 7-0.

Senior Chuck Pitman was one of three men to win two matches in the south. The other two were junior Herb Carlson and sophomore Jim Everett. This year's team is captained by senior Tom Radd of Yazoo City, Miss.

Coach Tommy Keane was pleased with the team's progress despite its record, and given good weather conditions, which will allow for practice, the Green should break into the win column against northern opponents.
