Rugged, beautiful Camelback Mountain was the scene of the Phoenix Club's spring meeting. Barbecued steaks and pinto beans were served in traditionally Western style, while members and guests were serenaded by a local cowpoke. Present for the festivities were: Otto Mayer '07 and Elaine; Russ Fisher '17; Tracy Kohl '19 and Edna; Ed Comins '49 and his lovely date, Suzie Orth; our guest and speaker, Mike McGean '49; Austin Grant '38 and Helen; Jim Felter '46 and Darcil; Hack Davenport '39 and Doris; Bob Morison '47 and Muriel; Dick Loughry '34; Bill Gilmore '34; Doug Stevenson '49 and Kit; Charlie Fay '49 and Norma; Ken Thompson '46; Wayne Frerichs '46; Dick Welsh '57 and Charlotte (visiting from Wichita); Dick Vaules '57 and Ginny; Marianna and Mike Tomkins '57.

Outgoing President Ed Comins '45 directed the post-prandial activities in his capable manner. Our speaker Mike McGean brought us up to date on recent Hanover activity and told of the vast changes in the college scene both in its academic atmosphere and in the physical plant. Mike also spiced his talk with some colorful anecdotes relating to recent student pranks. In this respect, neither Dartmouth nor the Men of Dartmouth seems to have changed very much.

To conclude the formal portion of a very informal and enjoyable evening, an election of next year's officers was held. Those named were: Tower Snow '31, president; Art Davidson '36, vice president; Duncan Newell '36, treasurer; Bill Miller '51, secretary; and Mike Tompkins '57, assistant secretary.

A final note should be added to remind all newcomers and visitors to Phoenix that they are cordially invited to attend our monthly luncheon. The luncheon is held on the first Tuesday of each month (all year) at the Arizona Manor Hotel at 24th Street and Camelback Road. No reservations are required
