The Dartmouth Club of Paris has had a relatively busy spring. A dinner gathering was held on April 3 at the home of Helen and President Clark Moore '41 in the suburbs. The members who were able to venture forth were: Betty and George Boswell '39, Ardis and Chuck Carleton '41, Gin and Anthony Field '61, Ed Hall '61, Lee and John Howe '35, Nic Jacobson '35, Ellen and Ted Steinert '56, Rita and Bob Stirling '55, Susan and Dan Vock '61.

Members of the Paris Club were invited to join a special tour, over June 5-7 weekend given for the alumni from various American colleges, sponsored by Club France-Amerique, and particularly organized by Mr. O. Giscard d'Estaing, to visit the chateaux in the Loire valley. Bob and Rita Stirling and Dan and Susan Vock were the only two lucky couples from our club who could get away. Their account of this tour was glowing; not only were they able to visit chateaux not normally open to the public, but they slept in elegant chateaux and were dined and wined royally along the route.

On June 13 for a change and to take full advantage of the fine weather, the Club had a family picnic in the shadows of "Madame Dubarry" chateau overlooking the Seine river. Those who were able to enjoy this "family" outing, which included softball and volleyball games after a feast of each one's own making in a royal setting, were Betty and George Boswell '39, Ardis and Chuck Carleton '41, Margaret and Nic Jacobson '35, Gin and Anthony Field '61, Pinky and Bob Lindell '50, Helen and Clark Moore '43, Susan and Dan Vock '61, Rita and Bob Stirling '55.

Unfortunately several of our members are leaving this year which is a proverbial problem over here. We sincerely hope any visiting alumni or alumni who have not received regular invitations to our meetings will contact Jacques Bry, our secretary. Of course, all are welcome. More the merrier.
