The Dartmouth Club of Paris had the pleasure of having a dinner-meeting with wives at the apartment of Jacques and KatieBry '59 on January 22. After drinks and a most delicious dinner prepared by Katie with all the trimmings of wines and delicacies, our new president, Chuck Carleton '41, welcomed visiting Professor and Mrs. J. Laurie Snell and introduced the following newcomers to the area attending for the first time: Philippe Duperat '60, Peter Gulick '55, Larry Hunt 65, and Brian Porzak '65.

The lucky members who were present to listen to the latest account from Hanover by Professor Snell, which included the first apnlication by undergraduates of computer operations, were George Boswell '39. Anthony Field '61, Nicholas Jacobson '35, Dr. Stewart Jones '29, Addison Luce '53, Clark Moore '43, Bertrand Pineau-Valencienne '59, Ted Steinert '56, Bob Stirling '55. We were pleased to note that the undergraduates hadn't changed any in that their applications were practical — it was reported that they are even computerizing problems such as the selection of "dates."

The next meeting is scheduled to be held at the home of Chuck and Ardis Carleton'41 in Chatou (in the western suburbs of Paris) on Saturday evening, March 26. It is hoped that all members and wives or dates including visiting "firemen" will join us to help bring Hanover a little closer.
