Patty and I returned from a month in Europe (England, Ireland, and Switzerland) to find our mail piled high with notices alerting us to next June's Thirtieth Reunion plans, and a series of bulletins from Crosby Hall calling for our ALUMNI MAGAZINE notes. Since we seem to have avoided (but not by intent) all '37 classmates in Europe, the notes will be brief.

Bob Maynard has been made vice president and director of marketing for the Grove Manufacturing Company in Shady Grove, Pa. The promotion climaxes the 20 years during which Bob has been associated with manufacturers of power cranes and shovels. He and Peg have three children. Barbara is a sophomore at Wittenburg College, Susan and Douglas are in high school.

Newspaper clippings report the resignation of Bob Heneage from the post of president of the Peerless Insurance Company of Keene, N. H., and the Stamford (Conn.) Advocate shows the firm jaw of Chief Justice of the U.S. District Court, Bill Timbers as a distinguished guest at a testimonial for a fellow judge.

Art Falk sends along what he describes as his "biennial letter," a custom which your secretary hopes continues, and wishes other classmates would emulate. Writes Art: "Connie Schuck and his wife Samy visited with us last July on a trip to California from their home in Buffalo. Connie will be on leave from his teaching position at Buffalo State the first of the year and was going to attend some drama classes at one of our colleges out here. I haven't heard from Connie since, so don't know if he will be in the San Francisco area or down south in never neverland.

"My wife Bette, son Don, and I spent a month in Europe this summer, visiting Zurich, Rotterdam, London, northern England, Scotland, Paris, and Amsterdam. I highly recommend this type of vacation to anyone who hasn't been to Europe; we are already to go back again.

"In January 1964, I was appointed field claims supervisor of our nation-wide disability claims for my company (Fireman's Fund American Insurance) and in November of the same year Claims Secretary in charge of nation-wide life and disability claims for our seven subsidiary companies. I've made several trips to such places as New York, Chicago, Dallas, New Orleans, and Atlanta, but, so far, haven't come across any classmates."
