The Club ushered in the Christmas season with a fine party on Thursday, December 17, 1964. Door prizes, dancing, and Christmas cheer contributed to a good time by all the members who attended.
In December, Professor Cusick visited the club and talked on the summer Alumni College. It appears that the participating professors are being stimulated as much as the alumni students. This is great and it appears from New York City there is a great deal of enthusiasm for the summer program.
In addition, the American Institute of Marine Underwriters presented the Club and the College the brass plate from the liberty ship "S.S. Eleazar Wheelock." JohnHatheway '48, president of the New York Club, accepted the plate and expressed Dartmouth's thanks to the Institute.
Coach Bob Blackman spoke on January 7, 1964, on the prospects for the 1965 Dartmouth Football Teams and showed the Highlights of the 1964 season. Coach Black-man and Coach Musick assured us that Dartmouth will have an exciting football team this year but where in the league standing we will end up is anybody's guess. Itjs great to have the coaches stop in for this annual event. The members always enjoy the evening.
Also on January 28, David Porter, artist in residence at Dartmouth, discussed how one can get more out of art. This was a stimulating program for all who attended.
Ad Winship '42, John Meek '33, and Cliff Jordan '45 were seen at the Club recently. In addition, R. A. Kreulen '55 from Yokohama, Japan; R. Curtain '45 from San Francisco; and Fred Oman '56 from Denver stopped in at the Club. We hope all Dartmouth men will stop on their way through New York City.
