President Gus Aberle '55 has released the following schedule of events for this academic year: On Friday night, Oct. 14, which is Dartmouth Night, there will be a reception. We will make a special effort to bring together those who have very recently come to Pittsburgh. Saturday, Oct. 24, will be the Harvard game. All who have recovered from the previous week's festivities will be expected to join us at the Carlton House to watch the big game on the little screen- possibly even in full color. There is some talk of getting a group together for a trip to Philadelphia on Nov. 19.

The traditional father and son luncheon will be held this year on Wednesday, Dec. 28. This has always been a pleasant, most interesting function that has been missed by far too many alumni.

The biggest and best event of the year is the annual dinner, which is held in late March. We usually have a speaker from Hanover - last year it was President Dickey - and the function is held at one of the fine clubs in the area. There has been good attendance in the past; but some of the older alumni seem to think that they aren't welcome. This certainly is not the case.

After the acceptances go out to the successful applicants, we meet with them and their parents at the University Club, where we view Dartmouth films and convince them to attend Dartmouth. This is a chance for the alumni to find out in person how tremendous these young men are.

This writer feels that if a person can conveniently get to our regular Wednesday lunch meetings, he will enjoy the best of alumni fellowship, keep informed of what is going on in Hanover, and be in a position to do the most for the college. Please make an effort to join us.

At the annual dinner last spring, Al Frey '20 received an alumni award for achievement in his field. Another feather in Al's cap is his recent selection as Dean of the Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh.
