When this edition is published, we will be well into the holiday season. Diane and I wish to extend to you and yours the season's greetings and all best wishes for a very happy, healthy and productive New Year. We are sure that all of you join us in expressing hope that in the new year a peace on earth can be achieved and that good will towards all men can be more lasting.

Reunion: The Executive and Reunion committees are formulating great plans for the June affair. This, is a must reunion no matter where you live. Start making those plans now —. According to Tom Schwarz and the committees, the plan in general calls for the most fun for the most people at the lowest cost for everyone. I'll be reporting in greater detail as the plans get more specific. Start' talking to others in your various regions about transportation, etc. I can guarantee that the West Coast contingent will be in Hanover in June at top strength.

Received a letter which brought me upto-date on the Don Swift family. For the last three years Don has been studying the bottom sediments of the Bay of Fundy and teaching marine geology at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia. Presently Don is associated with the Puerto Rico Nuclear Center which is operated by the University of Puerto Rico for the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission. From Nova Scotia to Puerto Rico - what a climate change! Don and his spouse have two daughters...Etien, age 3 and Cecilia, age 2.

From the grapevine comes news that J.C. Parkes is now a lieutenant commander in the Navy Medical Corps and is in charge of a 130-bed orthopedic unit at the U.S. Naval Hospital, St. Albans, Long Island. Prior to the Naval duty which lasts until June 1968, Jim served a residency in orthopedic surgery at the New York Orthopedic Hospital which is part of the Columbia Presbyterian Center. Before this three-year stint, Jim spent two years at Roosevelt Hospital one as a resident in general surgery and the other as an intern. He received his M.D. at Harvard Medical School, graduating Cum Laude in 1961. Jim met his wife Margaret at Roosevelt Hospital and was married in 1963. A graduate of Bennett College and Columbia University, Diane also attended the Sorbonne and the University of Madrid. Businesswise, Pete is associated with American Home Products, where he is assistant to the president of Whitehall Laboratories.

TODDLER: How about some birth notices all you '57 wives? I'm confident that our class is having greater effect on the population explosion than the number of birth announcements I receive would indicate. Anyway, congratulations this month go to Randy Aires. Keirn William Aires joined the rest of the Aires family last June. Randy and spouse are proud parents of two other offspring - John, 6 and Juliet, 4. Randy has been practicing law with Robert Montgomery '56 in Denver for the last two years.
