Too late for publication in the June issue, a clipping from a Providence newspaper was received telling of the recent retirement of Art Ruggles from the Parole Board of Rhode Island, a position he has held since 1948. The clipping further stated that "Dr. Ruggles never stinted in his generous help and advice to those in trouble who came to him (as one tribute put it) with no claim upon him except that of their common humanity."

Ken Morse's son, Richard S., who is Director of Research and Development for the Army, received an honoraxy Doctor of Science degree from Clark University in June. Claraand Leslie Farr kindly forwarded the clipping which told of this honor. They have spent the summer at Lower Waterford, Vt.

Harold Plumer advises that he and Ethel have moved to an apartment at 40 Oakland Place, Buffalo. George Elderkin spent the summer at his home in West Southport, Maine. I have not heard from George, but hope that his wife is in better health.

From one of my Maine correspondents I understand Beezle Parker was married last year, and is very happy. Congratulations! But it would have been appreciated if you had advised your secretary at that time.

Congratulations to Hermon Farwell who did a wonderful job on the Alumni Fund. Our class made a very fine showing, thanks to the cooperation of all who contributed.
