Last month's column started out with a story about a classmate who decided to study medicine quite a few years after graduation from college and who is about to receive his M.D. This month we have another great story concerning Hugh MacNamee who is abandoning a very successful ten-year practice in pediatrics to start four years of residency training and join the ranks of America's few child psychiatrists. "Doctor Mac," as he is known to hundreds of children in the New London, Conn., area, made the change because "My practice brought me into close contact with kids who have emotional problems, and this spurred a desire to help them while they are still young and, perhaps, prevent future problems that lead to alcoholism, broken homes, and worse." Mac graduated from Columbia Medical School after leaving Hanover, was a resident at the Children's Medical Center in Boston for two years, then practiced for three years at a clinic in Indiana before going to New London to join a clinic in that city. Mac and Mimi came up to Alumni College last year which proved to him that he wasn't too old to do some more "book-larning." The MacNamees and their four boys hope to remain in the New London area. Congratulations on the big decision, Mac, and best of luck in your new life.

Treasurer Frank Ettari received a nice note from Rosemary Jones, wife of BobJones who went with the United States Information Agency last August. Bob left in October for his new post at Lahore, Pakistan and the rest of the family joined him in time for Christmas. The Joneses expect to be in Pakistan at the American Embassy for three years and should have a great experience.

Incidentally, Rosemary's note accompanied their check for class dues. Those of you behind schedule might wish to follow suit.

Joe and Rose Keckeisen had big news in 1965 in the form of a new daughter born in April. They have two other children, Ann - a recent high school graduate, and Paul —• a high school junior. Joe is an assistant secretary in the trust department of the Harris Trust Company in Chicago. Congratulations, mama and papa - baby announcements are getting scarce in this class.

Received a nice note recently from Jack Kennedy who recently became associated with the firm of Snyder, Clark, Dalziel, Holmquist and Johnson in Waukeegan, 111. Jack was a trust officer at a bank in Lake Forest before joining this law firm. His new job, plus a new house and the presidency of the Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce manage to keep him busy. Incidentally, Jack, I'd be careful about becoming a partner in this firm - they couldn't possibly add your name to the title and still get it on one letterhead.

Great feature article recently in the Boston Sunday Herald concerning Stan andTeddy Feldberg. Actually, this article centered more on Teddy, who is a very busy woman married to a very busy man. As a matter of fact, it is pretty obvious that she is just as active as Stan who is only running his gigantic Zayre Corporation. Part of the article included mention of their brand new chalet built 2200 feet up a mountainside in Jackson, N. H. It was fun seeing such a fine article about a great couple.

Phil Reinertsen has been named economic research manager of the Aetna Life and Casualty Company. Phil received his master's and doctor's degrees at the University of Chicago after leaving Dartmouth. He served on an Economic Cooperation Administration mission to Sweden and held positions as corporate economist with two other companies prior to joining Aetna in 1964. Ed Linsley, a former Indiana banker, has been named vice president at the Southern California headquarters of the Bank of California. Ed has been in the banking business since graduation from Dartmouth, ten years of which he spent in New York and the last seven in Indiana before moving out to sunny California.

Well, that does it for this month. We are happy to report the arrival of snow in Hanover which makes all of the residents as well as the ski operators happy. Let's hope we have a longer and better season than last year.

Best regards from the hills.

Secretary, 33 South Park St. Hanover, N. H.
