Slippery Lines from the Vermont SkiSlopes by Bud Yallalee '34 (Burlington, Vt.: Queen City Printers. $1.95) is a collection of 45 humorous poems for the winter sports buff. To illustrate, here are four lines entitled "Counter-Balance at Big Bromley":

Herringbones and sidesteps / Are knockouts if you please, / For saving money on the lifts / While wearing out your knees!

Dr. Bertold Eric Schwarz '46 is the author of Psychic-Dynamics (New York: Pageant Press, Inc., 1965. 161 pp. $3.95), a book "inspired by the belief that in the lives of some psychically gifted individuals many scientifically significant psychic events occur spontaneously, psychic events that defy pigeon-holing." Dr. Schwarz, co-author of the earlier Parent-Child Tensions, documents intensive case studies of a garish medium, a brilliant surgeon involved in a strange relation with his telepathic mother, and Henry Gross, the Maine dowser "discovered" by novelist Kenneth Roberts.
