As far as Dartmouth is concerned spring in Chicago has been a little great this year: a very successful luncheon with Dean Charles Dey '52 in January, a football smoker with Coach Hamilton in February and then the President's Dinner in March.

Michigan Shores Club was bursting at its seams the night of March 18 as 300 Chicago Green and their ladies gathered for President Dickey's annual visit. In addition to Mr. Dickey's address, remarks were made by Coach Blackman and Rupert Thompson '28, chairman of the Alumni Fund Drive. How- ever, in spite of this great cast, the highlight of the evening was the performance of the Glee Club and the Injunaires. Our hats are off to dinner chairmen, Chuck Solberg '50 (wife Tommy arranged all the housing for the Glee Club) and Dave McLaughlin

To conclude what has been a very successful year, plans have now been completed for the annual meeting of the Association to be held at noon on May 24 at Stanley Green's, 127 South State Street. Following the election of officers, Ellis O. Briggs '21, former U.S. Ambassador to Greece and expert in international affairs, will present a few brief remarks. If you have not already made your reservations call Joe Migely '54 at FR2-6800 and make arrangements to attend.

Norrie Williamson '26, recruiting chairman for the Chicago area, reports that a record 175 Chicago alumni assisted in our recruiting and interviewing efforts. Including early decision, where seven boys have been accepted and nine deferred to spring, 157 Form 6's were completed and returned to Hanover. Norrie's efforts to strengthen certain geographic areas this year have produced excellent results and will add strength to our efforts in future years.

And finally, Bob Mortimer '47 has been nominated by the Chicago Association to succeed Tom Murdough '26 as our representative on the Alumni Council. Our thanks to Tom for a job well done.
