When we first took up the task of providing a column for the ALUMNI MAGAZINE, it seemed a good idea to publish birthday dates, as they occurred, each month.

Looking back through the records, it would seem that the birthdays of the members of the 1901 class are included in the years between 1870 and 1880. The birthday months are varied, some months show several births and other months very few, or none at all.

Now, the writer does not mention this matter as a statistic and could be too general in our conclusions; in such case he will welcome any correction. The subject was brought to our attention when we looked for names of the members who were born in January. The record seems to indicate that none of our living members were born in January, and only two or three in the entering class, as a whole. Well, better luck in February, we hope.

During the year, your Secretary received cards from the Alumni Office, giving the address of a widow, or a change of address of a survivor, stating the relationship and the name. It could be that this information would be of interest to our readers, and might create a means for continuing correspondence that had been broken because of lack of address.
