Once again it's fall. It's time for catching up on football games, cocktail parties, and lost friends. Before we turn to this, however, pause and realize that the class exceeded its dollar goal in the Alumni Fund, made a gain in its average gift level and welcomes the new contributors to the list. However, it is discouraging to note that the over-all number of contributors in the Class of 1956 does not compare favorably with our surrounding classes. As the Fund groups its statistics, our participation index is the lowest in our group of classes. I hope that next year everyone will realize the importance of a contribution even if other demands hold down the dollar amount.
