Bob Schuh, pro at the Crofton Golf Club in Maryland entering his seventeenth year as a Class A member of the PGA of America, writes that his golfing family, Joan, Steven 10, Susie 8, and Scott 5, are thriving and that chip on the old green, Steven, is current Nine Hole Junior Club Champ. Bob's father, Class of 1929, is golf shop manager at the Club and that means the Dartmouth family is well evident, too.

Libby and Booge Erwin, now in Hudson, Ohio, played host at their new house to visiting Ted Price, administrative manager of the Cleveland, Detroit, and Toronto offices of management consultants, Booz, Allen and Hamilton.

Shady Lane writes that he became staff geologist with the Geological Survey of Wyoming in Laramie last fall. He is teaching petroleum geology at the University of Wyoming and, innocent that he is, he's looking forward to building a house. He might like to talk to Rick Webb about that.

From State College, Pa., Dick Gordon writes "My family and I delight in the life of a rural university community. I was promoted to full professor last summer, and my first book (on European energy policy) appeared in December. I am presently engaged in study of the American coal market largely in electric power and this is leading me to concern over balancing our desires for both electricity and a better environment. This is an area in which feelings run high and we analysts catch it for pointing out that the choices are far more difficult than either side admits."

George Tracy completed his Ph.D. at Boston College and is now in the administration of Dawson College in Mon- treal. From St. Louis John Parke checks in saying that he and Mary are looking forward to the June Reunion. The Parkes' call it "tough to leave" all their good friends in Cincinnati; but they are enthusiastic about the new beginning in St. Louis where John is with Ralston Purina Company, grains and feeds. His market barks and he is director of that product group.

'56 wives are busy gals, too. BethKoehring has done some milestone work with handicapped children, particularly those with impaired hearing, while John is busy at the United Nations. Helen Bush is in her third year as president of the Minneapolis Junior League, and husband, Don, has opened a new law practice, Bush and Brunelie. Their three and four-year- olds balance the picture. Sarah Terhune is another of those dedicated mothers who gives time to the local scouting program. The Pack Secretary and Weblos leader in that Arlington, Texas, activity is also a member of the sales force of St. Regis Paper Co., Pollock Division, better known as Frank Terhune.

Doug Stevenson is moving right along with Dean Witter & Co., the national investment firm. He joined them as an account executive in 1969 and has now been elected an assistant vice president. Doug will continue to hold down the post of assistant manager of the firm's Minneapolis office, one of 73 Dean Witter offices in the U. S., Canada and England. One of his most pleasant non-brokerage interests is the Minneapolis Squash Association, which he serves as secretary-treasurer. Doug and Barb have three children, Casey, Laura and Kimmy.

This is a good time of year to think of islands in the sun, and from San Juan TomMarvel writes that he's been working with Stan Klapper on recruiting Puerto Rican students for Dartmouth. In the last five years, better than half of the candidates they have assisted in making application have been accepted and they have doubled the number of applicants five years ago to twelye for this year. Professionally, Tom is architect of the American Embassy building in Guatemala and he's been commuting between Guatemala City, Washington, and San Juan. The Embassy building program of the State Department is most prestigious and it's no wonder Tom regards the project as a great personal challenge.

The First Annual Dartmouth Alumni Ski Weekend will take place in Hanover on March 6 & 7, 1971. A complete package for lodging at the Hanover Inn on Friday and Saturday nights, dinner Friday and Saturday nights and two days of skiing at the Skiway are included in the price of $80 per couple, with proportionate reductions for singles and those requiring only one night of lodging.
