Starting with this column, you have a new secretary to replace Jim Dalton who, for the past four years, has had this duty. We all thank Jim for a job "well done" and I hope I will be able to carry on in the traditions of our class. I sincerely solicit your help and hope many of you will keep me posted on your accomplishments, families, etc. Come on, wives, boast a little about your guys.

Tom Schwarz has stepped down as class president and as you know, he was previously our head class agent. He has done a wonderful job in leading us, and on behalf of the entire class, we salute Tom for his superb contribution to the class and the college.

Pete Belsky has been appointed product sales manager, Synthetic Resin Chemicals of the Heyden Division, Tenneco Chemicals, Inc. Pete has been associated with Tenneco Chemicals,, Inc. for the past ten years. He has served in many different capacities and had various technical and marketing responsibilities. Most recently he was a sales representative in the St. Louis District. He is also a member of the New York paint, varnish, and lacquer association.

Also in the chemical field, the Industrial Division of Nopco Chemical Company has announced the appointment of Larrie Calvert as manager, protective coatings department. Larrie joined Nopco in October of last year as an assistant market manager for the Industrial Division. His main re- sponsibility will be to develop programs to increase the sales and profits of Nopco products to the paint, varnish, lacquer and adhesive industries. He will also propose and develop marketing policies to be used by the sales department. Prior to joining Nopco, he served as Southwestern district sales manager for the Chemical Division of General Aniline and Film Corporation.

Ed Waldron has moved from Boston to the Cleveland area as a salesman for Bethlehem Steel Corporation. Rev. Doug Trottier has moved from Laconia, N. H., to Springfield, Mass., to become an associate minister of Hope Congregational Church. Doug and his wife, Corinne, have two children, Ellen, 10 and Bruce. 7. Joe Stevenson is now associated with Chesebrough Ponds Inc. as manager of Oue-tips.

Tony Dingman has been appointed Assistant Professor of Theatre and Speech and Director of the Wesleyan College Theatre at North Carolina, Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount, N. C. He just completed the residence requirements for a Ph.D. in drama at Carnegie-Mellon University with the assistance of a Carnegie Fellowship. He is currently working on a critical study of the plays of Edward Albee. Tony and his wife Ellen have a nine-month-old son, Scott Harris.

Addison Bowman has been named an associate professor of law at Georgetown University Law Center. Prior to this appointment. He was deputy director of the Legal Aid Agency for the District of Columbia. In the same area is Bob Dennis, the executive director of the Potomac Basin Center for information on Potomac water and related land resource issues. Bob says the Center is committed to citizen involvement in determining the destiny of his river basin, and to full citizen information and understanding of alternatives on the major issues affecting the basin. Its purpose will be to provide citizens and government officials with continuing information services on water and related land management issues in the Potomac region.

Doctors: Clark Bryant has been appointed to the active staff of Porter Hospital, Middlebury, Vt. He recently completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the De Goesbriand Memorial Hospital in Burlington. Malcolm Lindsay has been appointed to the staff of the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn., as a consultant in medicine. Also in Rochester, Mark Cloutier has been honored for outstanding performance in the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. Mark received the Pediatric Travel Award for outstanding achievement in pediatrics. He is one of 27 award winners selected from among some 675 doctors currently or recently enrolled as Mayo Graduate School residents. He is now an associate consultant at Mayo Clinic. Larry Lubow has established an office in Florham Park, N. J., to practice internal medicine with a sub-specialty interest in cardio-vascular diseases. He will be affiliated with Morristown Memorial Hospital and AH Souls Hospital, both in Morristown, N. J. Larry and his wife Susan have a two-month-old son, Jonathan William. Congratulations to Bill Gallagher and his wife on the birth of their fourth child, third daughter Claire Mac Donald. Bill is a teaching fellow in Dermatology at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Late last spring, Coast Guard Lieutenant Martin Daniell was promoted to lieutenant commander. He is an assistant professor in the humanities department at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn. More recently, Army Capt. Charles Mills was promoted to major. He is presently assigned to the Springfield Armory, Springfield, Mass., as chief of the installation facilities office. Prior to this assignment he saw service in Vietnam. He also holds the Bronze Star Medal.

November 4 - The Yale Game. Once again we hope to get "57 out" to the Yale Game and a large gathering afterward at the Midtown Motor Inn, 1157 Chapel Street, New Haven, Conn. If you did not get back to Hanover in June, why not come to New Haven in November to renew old times and have a ball. The motel is only a few miles from the stadium.
