We had originally planned a winter ski weekend for our class in January or February as a supplement to the fall weekend. These plans did not materialize, but Walt Yusen, Secretary for the class of 1958, organized a weekend for '57's, '58's and '59's for early February. It provides for two nights at the Hanover Inn or Motor Lodge, lift tickets for the Skiway for the weekend and basketball tickets for the Princeton game Friday night. This winter weekend could well become one of the most popular for the class.

The Gallery Lounge of the Moulton Union at Bowdoin College exhibited paintings by Professor Abbott Meader of Colby College in November and December of last year. Abbott, who holds a M.F.A. degree from the University of Colorado, was appointed an instructor in Art at Colby in 1961 and assistant professor in 1964. He spent the 1967-68 academic year in Rome on Sabbatic leave. While in Rome he painted, edited films, and studied Italian Art. He has been making films since 1962, many of which have been shown internationally. His works have been exhibited throughout New England, and he has held one-man shows at the University of Maine, Colby, and the Brooks School in Massachusetts. He has participated in two-man shows at Regis College and Gallery O in Augusta. Abbott's works have also been represented at the Maine Art Gallery, several Maine State Art Festivals, Today's Hour Gallery in Rockport, Mass., and the Down East Gallery in Glen Echo, Md.

Dick Mann has been elected to the board of trustees of Dean Junior College as a member-at-large. Dick lives in Walpole, Mass., and is vice president and treasurer of the textile firm of Buckley and Mann. He is also a trustee of the Benjamin Franklin Savings Bank in Franklin, Mass. In the past he has taught business courses at Dean.

As promised the Directory of the class arrived in December. I echo the plea of Joe Stevenson, our able president, to use this booklet. Get it tattered and torn. It should be especially helpful when planning class activities in your area and more importantly for coordinating transportation back to Hanover next year for the 15th reunion.

Dan Rosof is a post-doctoral fellow at Duke University's Center for Aging and Human Development. Supported by the National Institutes of Child and Human Development, he is concentrating his research on the problems related to sensory-motor defects in children. He is studying other areas of child development, perception and learning.

Jottings - George Johnston is now living in Upper Montclair, N.J., and working with Price Waterhouse in N.Y.C. as a public accounting consultant. John Scully is in the Department of Civil Engineering at Purdue University in Lafayette, Ind. He is also a candidate for a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering.

One final note: There will be an executive committee meeting at the end of this month in New York City. The time and place were unannounced when this was written, but if you are interested in attending, let me know. The executive committee encourages any and all members to bring forth their ideas so it can serve the class most beneficially.
