Jay Evans '49, from the "Administration," head of the enrollment program for the Rocky Mountain Region, addressed .the group at our regular monthly luncheon in October, and gave us some revealing information on the stepped-up enrollment efforts of such inferior schools as Brown, Princeton, and Stanford. A fact known only to those most closely associated with enrollment work was that of the 25 applicants from Colorado accepted for admission last year, the ten who went elsewhere for the most part did not go to an Ivy League school.

Jay met with Jim Swanson '59, and his team of enrollment workers at Ev Parker's ('16) house, and collectively showed a group of prospects.

At a recent monthly luncheon the Association heard Mike McKevitt, crusading District Attorney of Denver, speak on truth, justice, right and wrong, etc., and the practical problems involved with his office.

Plans are going forward for the usual holiday festivities, including the Christmas cocktail party for the alums and those returning students (who are of age); and a luncheon during the holiday season for our enrollment prospects.

The alumni counselor for this region, Cal Fisher '32, has been named president of the Denver Unit, American Cancer Society of Colorado.

Upcoming speakers and the luncheon group include Robert Gilberts, the new superintendent of schools for the Denver Public School District, and Charles Schumate, head of the State Highway Department.
