I might begin by noting that as of this writing, winter has officially descended upon the Hanover Plain. About a foot of snow and all ski areas reporting good to excellent. Many alumni passing through on skiing ventures have stopped in to say hello. We find that the student ski enthusiasts are, once again, asking the perennial question: Why does the work load always seem to increase as the snow conditions improve?

At the risk of repeating a bit of news previously reported in these notes, Dean Hill has recently been named a trustee of the Nichols College of Business Administration in Dudley, Mass. Dean Hill previously taught at Nichols College from 1940 to 1943.

On a recent visit to New York I ran into Peter Makowski T'65 who is now working for American Airlines. He was recently promoted to manager of aircraft research for the airline. Pete told me that Randy Malin T'60 is also doing extremely well. The Eastman Kodak Company recently announced that Dixon Pike T'58 has been appointed a financial analyst. He formerly was assistant manager of the Kodak office tabulating. John Hashagen T'64 has been named assistant secretary at First National Bank of Rochester. He has been credit manager since the bank opened last November. JerrySchwartz T'63 has passed the recent New Jersey bar exam. Jerry completed the CPA program at Tuck and did his graduate legal work at the Rutgers University School of Law from which he received his LL.B. this past June.

John Field T'51 was recently appointed administrative vice president of the Overmyer Company. He had been treasurer of the company. Before joining Overmyer, he was with the Meadowbrook National Bank and the Chase Manhattan Bank. DouglasThomson T'50 recently graduated from the 12th session of the Program for Management Development conducted by the Harvard Business School. He was one of 75 business executives, government and military leaders who attended the 16-week program. Benjamin Moats T'46 has been named vice president of marketing for Fanny Farmer Candy Shops, Inc. of Cambridge, Mass. He had been vice president of marketing for Fitchburg Paper Company and a consultant with McKinsey. Richard Hartman T'48 has been named second vice president at the Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company. A native of Reading, Pa., and a Navy veteran, he received his bachelor's degree from Dartmouth in 1946. Lt. Col. John F. Ohlinger T'39 has arrived for duty at Naha Air Force Base in Okinawa. Colonel Ohlinger, a troop carrier pilot, previously served at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia. He is assigned to the Pacific Airforces which provides air offensive and defensive units in South East Asia, the Far East, and the Pacific.

Wedding bells continue to ring for Tuck alumni. Warner Bishop T'42 was recently married to Susan B. Osborn of Bronxville and Mahogany Hill in Tryall, Jamaica. Stuart Ensinger T'59 has become engaged to Marjorie Ellen Pott of Summit, N. J. An April wedding is planned. Bob Sands T'60 was recently married to Miss Catherine Deutsch, a graduate of Middlebury College.
