Soon after you receive this issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE many of you will be on your way to Hanover to celebrate our 60th reunion.
It was a great pleasure to have a letter from our class president, James M. O'Neill, saying that he is back home from the Sharon Hospital feeling much better and that he and Edith will attend the reunion on June 9, 10, and 11.
Your Secretary also had a nice letter from Mrs. Henry Richardson Lane (Lucy), the widow of our wonderful classmate Dick, who played on the varsity basketball team with me during 1906-07. Lucy says that she will be with us in Hanover at our reunion.
Our class headquarters will be in the Lounge Room of College Hall from noon, Friday, June 9 through Saturday evening, June 10. Russell Sage is our dormitory.
Word has been received that our classmate, Arthur G. Spears, died on April 6. This was quite a shock because I had already received a card from Art that he and Rhea were planning to be chauffeur-driven to Hanover for our 60th reunion. He also said that he has had several slight heart attacks. For further information see this or a subsequent issue of the MAGAZINE.
Classmates having birthdays in June are Edward Barker, 3; Robert Stokes and George Jamison, 6; and Edward Harris, 11. A happy and healthy birthday to you all.
The 1967 Alumni Fund campaign ends on June 30 and good progress has been made to date, but it is hoped that all our living classmates will participate this year for Dear Old Dartmouth, the college on the hill we all love so much. This would give us 100 percent participation and make us all happy, especially your head Class Agent, Bob Kenyan. We then can all enjoy a beautiful summer vacation.
See you in Hanover at the 1907 Class ReunionJune 9-11, 1967
