The Dartmouth Club of Oregon ended 1967 with two events which attracted the interest and participation of the alumni. All in all, 1967 proved to be one of the most interesting years for the alumni in the Oregon Club, and participation was better than ever.
In November, the Dartmouth and Princeton Clubs joined forces to bring the Dartmouth-Princeton game to Portland. Through the efforts of President Jud Goldsmith '61, the game was "piped" into the University Club and 25 Big Green fans were there to cheer the team to victory.
In December, the traditional luncheon for prospective "Pea Green Freshmen" was held, and Enrollment Chairman Sam Martin '27 conducted the meeting. With two Dartmouth students and seven alumni present, the eleven prospective students had ample opportunity to ask questions about courses, regulations, women, scholarships, skiing, and whatever else they had in mind. Sam noted that approximately 30 students could be expected to apply this year from Oregon and Southwest Washington, indicating that interest in attending Dartmouth was on the increase.
