The mini-reunion at the Princeton game was a smashing success - so much so that the Class hopes to have a similar gathering each fall in Hanover on a football weekend. Dick Van Riper did a splendid job in organizing the weekend and reports that some 87 people, including wives, attended the game. Art and Deborah Pierce cleaned up their back yard just south of the field and hosted 68 people at the picnic prior to the game. The Ashley House was "The Spot" following the game where 74 people enjoyed cocktails, a steak dinner, and three hours of good music via a small band. Some additional highlights — Mike Waldbillig, who has not aged a day, was tending the keg after dinner, and naturally felt right at home. Eric Eichler was seen at a champagne party at the Beta House and reportedly consumed a couple of bottles of the bubbly stuff. The weekend was such a great success that the executive committee has decided to appoint a social chairman to coordinate all the class social activities. The individual will not have to run each event but will work with other members on various activities. Anyone interested in working on class social gatherings, please drop me a line.

Dick would have been a natural as social chairman, but he is leaving Connecticut for Atlanta, Ga., where he will assume his duties as District Sales Manager for Anaconda American Brass Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Anaconda. His territory will be Georgia, Alabama, and the panhandle of Florida. Good-luck, Dick, and thanks again for a great weekend.

Marketing specialist Ed Bessey has recently been promoted to group product manager for all cardiovascular and metabolic products of the Pfizer Laboratories division of Chas. Pfizer & Co. He is now responsible for mapping the marketing strategy for those Pfizer products. Since joining Pfizer in 1964 as marketing assistant, Ed moved up to assistant product manager in 1966 and product manager in 1967. He and' his family live on East 90th Street in New York City.

On October 30, the executive committee met in New York. The following were present: Joe Stevenson, Tom Schwarz, Clyde Brownstone, Bill Breer, Eric Eichler, Bob Rex, Frank Brum, Skip Kerr, and myself. In addition to our annual fall weekend in Hanover, mentioned above, the committee is very anxious to have other social events throughout the entire country. Some ideas are cocktail parties, dinners, ski weekends, picnics, and golf outings. The social chairman coordinating these activities will be announced shortly.

Joe announced that Skip Kerr is the new Head Class Agent replacing Bill Kramer who has relocated on the west coast. Skip will need a lot of help and as he says, "You can expect a call."

The class Dialogues Program is well on its way and should be operational shortly. The College seems enthusiastic about the program. Jack Hall, Dialogues chairman, will have some more information in your hands soon.

The class policy on deaths was defined as follows: Upon learning of the death of a classmate, it is requested that the secretary of the class be notified of the details. If possible, we would like the Class to be represented at the funeral. When the secretary learns of the death of a classmate, he will notify the College, arrange for an In Memoriam item in the ALUMNI MAGAZINE, and notify the class treasurer who will notify the Librarian at Baker Library to purchase a book in the memory of the deceased classmate. The secretary will then notify the next of kin of this action. As the meeting was adjourned it was strongly felt that the executive committee should meet more frequently - perhaps twice a year, and hoped that more members of the class would participate.

The Class is minus another bachelor as Dr. George Cox and Miss Joan Helig have announced their engagement. George has opened an office for private practice in Suffern, N. Y. He had previously been a teaching assistant at New York School of Medicine, a staff physician at West Haven Veterans Administration Hospital and recently resigned from the clinical staff of Yale University School of Medicine.

Jack Hewitt now has part control of Harvard's money bag. He has joined the treasurer's staff of the university as manager of the fixed income sector of the Harvard portfolio. He will also be associated with State Street Research and Management Company, a Boston investment advisory and mutual fund management firm. For the past year he was institutional portfolio manager for Loomis, Sayles and Company, Inc., in Boston, and before that he was with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.

Jottings: Cliff Daniels, in Amsterdam, Holland, as a systems analyst with Gulf & Western International. Bill Fiero is a research associate and assistant professor at the Desert Research Institute, living in Las Vegas. Clif Olds is an assistant professor of the history of Art at the University of Michigan. Ed Terrace is an associate curator - Egyptian Department, Museum of Fine Arts, in Boston. Jan Wlodarkiewicz is a senior associate of Planning Research Corp. in Washington, D. C. On behalf of the Class, I wish you all a happy holiday season and a prosperous 1969.
