Time certainly does fly and we are fast approaching another "1957 Blitz!" BillKramer and his team of able agents are about to begin contacting the class as part of the annual Alumni Fund Drive. The "1957 Blitz" will again spark the effort of the class toward continuing a strong trend of giving which has been well established. Be certain to get your contribution in by April 1, if possible.

While on the subject of the Alumni Fund, I would like to give a Wah-Hoo-Wah to the staff of Regional Coordinators of last year who worked closely with all the agents; New York, Tim Hanley; New Jersey, JimDawson; New England, North, Dick Perkins; New England, South, Dave Keith; Ohio, Chick Winslow; South, Ted Jennings; Midwest, South, Chuck Schroeder; Midwest, North, Gerry Sokolec; West Coast, North, Art Johnson; West Coast, South, Dick Leavitt; Connecticut, Mike Matzkin. These fellows did a great job and deserve a lot of credit for the success of the fund. This year, talk to the agents who contact you, renew old times, and make this another outstanding year for "1957."

The First National Bank of Boston has elected Jay Trepp a senior accounting officer. He joined the bank about a year ago and is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Tax Executive Institute. Jay and his wife have two sons and a daughter.

In New York Gary Kepler has recently been promoted to second vice president in the Investment Research Department of the Chase Manhattan Bank.

John Strong, whom you may have seen as officer in charge of the Citibank branch at Avenue of the Americas and 52nd Street, has been named a vice president in the First National City Bank's Metropolitan Division. John, a three-year member of the varsity hockey team, has been with Citibank since 1961, the same year he married the former Joan Wightman. They are now the parents of two children and make their home in Brooklyn.

A letter arrived recently from Dave Baldus. He is with the Pittsburgh law firm of Metz, Cook, Hanna and Kelly and last November was elected to serve as a delegate to Pennsylvania's Constitutional Convention which was in session in January in Harrisburg, Pa. The convention was in the process of rewriting four sections of the State's constitution.

Dick and Perk Canton are sorry they missed the 10th reunion, but were hopefully awaiting for a future Dartmouth son (after twin girls). Their wish was granted when Richard Perkins joined his sisters on July 17. Dick is with Merrill Lynch in Boston. Rom Powell reports his new son, John Douglas, also joined twins at home. This time they are boys, Jim and Scott, five.

Ron Chilcote is back from Brazil and is assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of California.
