The Class of '63 is responding with unusual alacrity in returning the questionnaires for both Bill Subin and I are getting deluged with responses. I will leave the bulk of the information on those questionnaires far the Newsletter, but I will pass on some of the information in this column. First, however, I had the pleasure of spending a recent af- ternoon and evening with the new assistant county prosecutor of Atlantic County, N.J., our Class President, Bill Subin. His wife Petie and son Jeremy seem very excited about Bill's new appointment. He will continue with his private practice with an Atlantic City firm, and just try to squeeze in twice as much in a day as he did before. Bill's responses to the questionnaires were as helpful as the responses that I received and we would like to remind all of you who haven't returned yours yet to do so as soon as possible.

Before I turn to the questionnaires, an item that I have been trying to get into the column for several months is an announcement of the wedding of Jack Smith and Randy Tindle which occurred back in December. Randy is the daughter of Jim Tindle '36 who has been one of the staunchest supporters of Dartmouth and the Philadelphia Dartmouth Club in this area. Jack is working in the Philadelphia area and has also become very active in Club affairs, no doubt due to his new father-in-law's influence. John Steffens and Louise Cullen were married in November in Cleveland, where they intend to make their home. John is with a stock brokerage firm in that city. Marriage is in the near future for Roy Benson and Phyllis LaVigna, who is a senior at Plymouth State College. Roy is teaching at the Lyndon Institute in Vermont. They plan a June wedding.

I received an interesting letter from Howie Culver who now lives in Chevy Chase, Md., with his bride of a few months, the former Monique Regnoux, a native of Grasse, France. Howie and Norm Buchsbaum had quite an interest in Canada while they were at the college and Howie was married in October in Montreal. After Stanford Law School, Howie went up to McGill University in Montreal for their Institute of Air and Space Law where he received his Master of Laws. His bride was also studying for her Master's at the same Institute and currently he is working in Washington with the Office of the General Counsel at the Civil Aeronautics Board. Howie's letter reminds me that if you fellows move around, please let us know your new addresses so that we can keep track of you. Carol Horner wrote on behalf of Bill to let us know of the birth of their daughter, Lara Kathryn, who was born December 21, 1967. According to Carol, Lara is a blue-eyed blonde and weighed almost eight pounds at birth. Bill was here in Philadelphia at the Jefferson Medical College until June, 1967 "and now is interning in Hartford, Conn. Mike Leone and DickBriggs are both interns at the Hartford Hospital also. In July, Bill will begin a four-year residency in general surgery at the Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Aron Greenwald is currently at the? Columbia Business School studying for his M.B.A. Aron spent a year with an insurance company in New York. He writes that BobGoodfriend is breaking his back while simultaneously working on his law degree and Ph.D. in English at Stanford. He will graduate from the law school this June and plans to clerk for a judge of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals over the summer. Dick Godfrey and wife Joyce are living in Newark, Del., while he teaches at the U.S. Naval Nuclear Power School. He writes that Tom Kraig and Bonnie are living in New York City. I have no other news of them. He also writes that he heard from Frank Jerabek, who was married last August and then went over to Viet Nam. He is a Lieutenant in the Naval Civil Engineering Corps. Carl Wright took the time to fill in the questionnaire more completely than virtually anyone else and writes that he is doing actuarial work with a large insurance firm in Portland, Me. He is living in Cape Elizabeth which by his description seems pretty far out in the country but which enables his wife and 15-month-old son to enjoy life a lot more than in New York City where they were previously. According to Carl, he saw Bruce Phillips several times in New York after Bruce was discharged from the Navy in June of 1967. Now Bruce is doing graduate work at Columbia Business School. John Bell is apparently living in Buffalo Grove, Ill., and working with the Quaker Oats Company. He passed along some information on Stu Mahlin that just two or three weeks after his service deferment ran out, Julie gave birth to David, their son. That's planned parenthood at its best.

Roger Thomas, stationed at Cherry Point, N. C., with the Marine Hospital there is a battalion surgeon, passed along information that he has seen Brad Rodgers who is now an assistant resident in surgery at Duke Medical Center in Durham, N.C. Mike Rie, who is in Washington with the Communicable Disease Center of the Public Health Service, writes that Steve Chase is presently finishing medical school at Georgetown, that Ron Garren is doing his medical residency at New York Hospital and Rich Edelson is also with the Public Health Service assigned to the State of New Jersey as an epidemic intelligence officer. Mike visited Dartmouth in February and talked to the second-year medical students on clinical and public health aspects of tuberculosis control, and apparently had a terrific visit while he was there.

Another complete questionnaire was sent in by Ron Foley who is now with the Systems and Methods Department of Travelers Insurance. He lives with his wife and daughter, Colleen, a 15-month-old in Windsor Locks, Conn. He writes that Bill Courtney was discharged from the Army in June and now is with an accounting firm in Boston. Bill married Laine Hejna in Chicago in February. He also writes that Carl Krieg and his family are in Chicago at the University of Chicago's School of Theology. Allan Flaschner reported that he and TedRossi are completing their Ph.D. in Business Administration at the University of North Carolina and hitting the job market to- gether. Allan and Susan are the parents of Sherry, aged three, and Scott, aged one month. Finally, for this month, Russ Seibert reported that he is working as a social worker in Boston and has been in that position since February of 1966. He wrote that he bumps frequently into Steve Nazaro and Mark Colby; Steve is with the Boston Garden Arena doing public relations and Mark plans to go on to law school next fall. He also wrote that John Crescott who is teaching at Thayer Academy is living in Braintree, Mass., on the campus of the Academy.

That will do it for this month. We will have news by way of the Newsletter about our Class Reunion plan and the appointment of our Reunion Chairman. Bill Subin has met several times with officials of the College and other members of our Class Committee about this and should have a report shortly for everyone. Thanks again for sending in your questionnaire responses; those of you who have not yet done so, please do it as soon as possible.
