Hopkins Center's already considerable influence on community art app'reciation will become statewide in 1968-69 when, with the assistance of the New Hampshire Commission of the Arts, the Center will provide art shows, concerts, exhibitions, and theater productions to communities throughout New Hampshire.
In the newly announced program which will extend through the spring of 1969, the state art commission offers financial and organizational assistance to cities and towns interested in programming a variety of offerings from the Center. These include the Dartmouth Glee Club, the College Concert Band, a period comedy by the Dartmouth Players, six art shows, and nine other exhibits ranging from graphic design to architecture.
Persons interested in local sponsorship have been asked to contact Warner Bentley, director of Hopkins Center, for bookings and Marlow Burt, executive director of the Commission on the Arts in Manchester, for financial assistance.
