The nucleus of the enthusiastic Seventeeners, their wives and friends included met at the Hanover Inn for the usual Fall Special Reunion.

List as follows: Walt and Phoebe Walters, Sherm and Helen Smith, Al and Helen Bushnell, Guy and Marge Richardson, Duke and Dot Howe, Mott and Fran Brown, Ralph and Ethel Sanborn, Slats and Helen Baxter, Sandy and Tommie Lynch, Friday Bean, Gene and Lucile Towler, Norm and Mary McCulloch, Karl (Barney) and Adele Thielscher, Larry and Lucille Nourse, Bob and Gail Boynton, Bill Eaton, Hal and Nell Valentine, Len and Laurene Reade, Hank and Polly Loudon, Ev Carroll, Ray and Peg Allen, Art and Emily Stout, Roger and Carol Stone, and Al and Josie Evans.

Al and Maude Edgerton showed up for lunch hour Saturday. There were two guests from 'lB, one Ed Booth and his wife and Pops Colie and Mrs. Colie. Following cocktail hours held both Friday and Saturday, we enjoyed the excellent cuisine of the Hanover Inn previously arranged by Bob andGail Boynton. The action was stimulated by Helen and Slats Baxter at the piano, leading us not only in song but demonstrating the Hawaiian hula as it was done in the twen- ties. Comediennes were headed by Adele Thielscher and Mary McCulloch.

Donald and Helen Brooks were with us. Don has served us since 1927 and is most helpful in this transition period.

Vic Smith timed surgery in conflict with this reunion date. We are happy to report that he is making good recovery.

Ralph Sanborn, insurance, legislator, historian and scribe reports athletic achievement. He is looking for an avid golfer like Bob Scott who can match him in shooting his age.

News from Sarasota is not encouraging. Gil Swett is battling a serious illness and at the moment is confined to a nursing home. Jane has been strengthened by your letters in this trying situation.

It is sad to report the present condition of Ev Robie. In late July, he suffered severe injuries as a result of an automobile accident. Classmates in the area have contacts with him and his family.

Poetic efforts of John Davis will appear in the Sentry. John hasn't lost his sense of humor though his knees may not work as well.

Fred Houghton writing from Las Vegas has prevailed upon Sherm Smith to send him pictures of the campus and the new buildings of today, showing revived interest in his alma mater. Make our next reunion, Fred.

Janet and Burton How report a reunion with our Sentry Editor recently. We all hope to meet with them personally soon.

Summer greetings come from Stan White, Bellevue, Washington. He regrets his inability to make the trek this year.

Our follow-up system on Fred Gates states that he keeps in touch by correspondence but has seen too few of his classmates since our Fiftieth. Check up on your list when in Ohio, please.

A most welcomed word is received from Don Litchard. After many successful years in the investment-banking field, Don has decided to hang up the gloves this October. You can reach him at 465 King Street, Cohasset.

All for now, help keep the presses rolling.
