Lucia and I were in Hanover with our children Bob, 10 and Linda, 5, for the Holy Cross Game and the Big Green surely looked like a contender for the Ivy Crown. Purely by chance, we sat next to Cal Perry, who drove up from Andover, Mass., for the day, and in front of Chick Winslow. After the game, we saw Carol and Scott Corey, who were attending Club Officers' Weekend. Scott is secretary of the Dartmouth Club of Baltimore, and is with Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company of Maryland. The Corey's have three girls and a boy. I hope to have a full report on the Penn Game Mini-Reunion next month.

At the National Institutes of Health near Washington, Dr. Leon Mann recently was awarded the U.S. Public Health Service Commendation Medal recognizing his outstanding research on acute hypoxia, a condition of sudden oxygen deficiency in the unborn. He was cited for studies conducted during the past two years while he served on the staff of the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. This research also won national recognition when the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists awarded Leon and two colleagues its President's Award last spring.

Last month, it was mentioned here that Charlie Ashley was principal of the Manchester, Mass., Junior-Senior High School. Unknown to me, Charlie had resigned in August to accept a position as assistant professor of Education and Director of the Secondary Education, Student Teacher Programs at the University of New Hampshire. During the spring of this year, he lectured in secondary school methods at Boston University.

For the 1969-70 season, Erich Kunzel was promoted to the position of resident conductor of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. He is replacing Maestro Max Rudolf who is resigning after 11 years. The general manager of the orchestra, "one of America's finest symphonic organizations," said of Erich, his talents are "brilliant" and the city is "fortunate that he can continue the orchestra's high level of excellence."

This past summer, Dr. Bruce Barrabee was a visiting pastor in the pulpit of the Vincent United Methodist Church in Nutley, N. J. Bruce is Director of Field Education and assistant professor of Practical Theology at the Theological School of Drew University in Madison, N. J. He has been active as a scholar and involved in campus and social service concerns. He and his wife, Susan, have one son.

Monte Pascoe recently received the Martin Luther King Humanitarian Award from the Church of the Black Cross in Denver, for his position on integrated education.

Dan Goggin has been elected to the position of second vice president of the Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company. Dan joined Boston Mutual in 1968 and is Controller. Gerald Jones has been appointed vice president and general counsel at Wang Laboratories Inc. in Tewksbury, Mass. He was formerly associated with Goodwin, Proctor and Hoar, a Bostonlaw firm.

Lan Cady is still climbing at Kodak in Rochester, N. Y. Formerly senior advertising editor for the business systems markets division, he is new manager of publications services for the division. Although he was a business and technical recruiter for the company in 1960, he joined the advertising department the following year and has stayed with it. In Rochester he is a member of the Dartmouth Club, the Landmark Society, and Rochester Advertisers. How long before some girl catches this eligible bachelor?
