The Dartmouth Club of Delaware held its annual Christmas luncheon on Monday, December 23, 1968 at the University and Whist Club. Final details of the luncheon and preceding social hour were handled by Jay Booker '60. We enjoyed a large turnout of 22 alumni, eight undergraduates and fourteen candidates for the Class of 1973. This year the Class Attendance Award was won by 1939, Jack Cathcart, Jim Corner, and Robb DeGraffi. Special recognition was given to Thomas Herlihy Jr. '26, Tom Herlihy III'57, and Jerry Herlihy '63 for leadership in family attendance. The senior class present was represented by Dr. John Woodhouse'21.
The Program featured two undergraduate speakers: William H. Sharkey Jr. '70 and Jeffrey H. Gerow '72. Chip Sharkey discussed "Student Power" on the Dartmouth campus and Jeff Gerow reviewed his transition from high school to his first semester at Dartmouth. The speakers drew a lively response from both alumni and applicants.
In the future we have the following activities to look forward to: Ivy League Scholar- ship Ball, Hotel du Pont, January 31; "Dartmouth-on-the Road" (see Philadelphia Club notes for details); annual spring dance (with wives) with a guest speaker from the college.
