In respect to the Class of 1905, the month of February might be considered under the caption "When good fellows get together." There have been three reunions in Florida in which '05ers have been involved. The first was the meeting of the Dartmouth Club of Sarasota, February 17, attended by RogerBrown and "Cy" White.
The second took place February 23 in Daytona at Whitehall, a very pleasant hotel. This was a change from Clearwater Beach where the Class had usually reuned. This departure from custom was made in consideration of the fact that several of us were located on the Atlantic coast: Marion Tuck in Ormond, Anne Reid in Daytona and Mildred and I in Ellinor Village. Rogerand Jane Brown drove across from Anna Maria and picked up C.C. Hills in Mt. Dora on their way. The weather was perfect and the view of the rolling Atlantic impressive.
For the benefit of the Gulf of Mexico coasters, a third 'O5 reunion took place early in March at Clearwater Beach. Besides the Browns, to whom we were much indebted for arrangements for the two '05 affairs, presumably John and Lucy Bell, FredChase, C.C. Hills, Bill and Dorothy Blatner, and Hilda and Cy White attended this later '05 meeting.
While we were in Ormond Beach we called on John Tuck in a new, attractive nursing home. He is quite frail, but was pleased to see his '05 friends. Marion finds that she needs to be with him much of her time.
By pure chance Mildred and I met Boband Edna Falconer in the church in Coconut Grove where we attended the morning service. We had a pleasant visit with them at luncheon, but were disappointed that they could not join us at our first reunion, as they were on their way home.
Have you secured reservations, men of '05, for the special program prepared for us old timers June 16-18?
