A card from Charlie Gibson in Greenville, S.C., reported that he had that day talked to Bob Gilboy in Hendersonville, N.C., and that some three weeks before had seen Dick Fox in Sarasota, Fla. Charlie added, "All is well. Keeping very busy in what is called retirement."
Dr. John Machen in Baltimore writes that he is "still in. the Pediatrics business and would., like to stay with it four more years at least." More power to you, John; hope you will.
From Florida, Don Me Call sent word that he and Betty had been spending three months in Key Biscayne and would be returning to their home in Sharon, Conn., about the middle of April.
And on April 17 Howie and Edna Mullin pulled up stakes at Evanston, Ill., to move to San Diego where they have many family ties and where, as Howie says, "the temperature never gets to -27." They have bought a home on a private golf course (a fact which I don't think need surprise anyone in the least) and about the first of May will settle in at 17426 Frondoso Drive, Rancho Bernardo, San Diego, Calif. 92128.
President Mullin has appointed Roy Blanc-hard an additional member of Paul Hannah's 45th Reunion Committee. Since Roy lives in Norwich, he will be an ideal man to maintain liaison with the College on reunion matters.
Stew Schackne sent on a very entertain- ing piece from the Yale Alumni Magazine by Stanley E. Flink, class secretary of Yale '4SW, a paean and plaint on the pleasures and pains of compiling his monthly class notes. An occupational reaction, no doubt, common to all class secretaries: delight in hearing and reporting good news of classmates, sorrow at having to report sad news, and underneath the constant nagging wish for more news, and more, and more.
Your scribe would here like to ask for help. Word was received from the Alumni Records Office the other day that news had reached Hanover, via a returned alumni envelope of the death on February 7 of Lawrence V. V. Moss of Lock port N.Y. Lawrence was with us in Hanover for a time, but left college before graduation. If any member has information about his death or any facts that would help in preparing an obituary notice, your secretary would much appreciate it if you would send them on to him.
