Am glad that I was able to attend the Charter Day celebration in Hanover on Saturday, December 13. It was an occasion that will be remembered for a long time by those who were present.

This event could not have been held in Hanover if our classmates, Nathaniel Leverone had not given the College the Nathaniel Leverone Field House. The cocktail party and buffet dinner for 1200 people needed all of the facilities the Field House had.

I was expecting that Francis Childs would attend with me but a few days before the party he entered Mary Hitchcock Hospital with a bad case of pneumonia.

A Christmas card from Bob Adriance showed his house practically snow bound. Says he likes living in a college town as there are so many interesting things going on.

A card from Jean and Harold Fish advises that they are enjoying their new home in Suncoast Manor, St. Petersburg, Fla., and they recommend it to anyone who wants carefree living.

Jeannette Bowley celebrated her 96th birthday in December. According to my records she is the oldest member of the 1906 family.

Helen Laton is now living at 1311 No. Central Ave., Glendale, Calif., 91202.

Virginia Luck has just returned from a two months' cruise around South America.

Have just learned that Winifred Glaze died on September 29 in Cambria, Calif.

I hope that every member of 1906 received a copy of Walt Powers' Christmas card. We all knew that he was an experienced kayak paddler but I never knew that he was a Top Grade Chef. His Holiday Fare Menu would satisfy anyone who was not hungry for food.

I want to thank everyone who sent me a Christmas card.

Bob Adriance and Walter Dakin will be celebrating their birthdays in February.
