Houston's annual Christmas meeting was highlighted by Club President Chuck Noll's '53 introduction of five undergraduates and two graduate students home or visiting for the holiday season.
Giving the Bayou City "alums" an opportunity to hear of the most recent campus activities were Carl Moody '72, Ray Wood '73, Bob '73 and Jim Ferguson '70, and David Edson '71 from the undergraduate student body. Incidentally, the latter four's fathers joined in attendance. Peter Meigs '69, a graduate student in computer sciences at Rice University and RobertoSanchez '69, visiting Peter from his graduate studies at the University of Illinois, added to the cordial holiday fete.
We felt proud and somewhat unique to welcome the Edson family with three generations of Dartmouth men: Dwight Edson '18, a member of the Houston Club's executive committee; son Jim '45, visiting from Hanover; and his son David '71.
Many Houstonians braved the first major storm of the winter to visit with our student guests including Fred Sistaire '47, George Adams and Classmate Roger Stanwood '39,Dr. Bob Williams and Ben Page from the Class of '42, Dave Hedges '34, Bill Lee '41,Joe Haffner '66, Bob Bucher '64, and a recent newcomer to Houston, Bob Baird '66.
Enrollment Chairman Frank Stephens '61 announced a successful afternoon meeting with Assistant Football Coach Walt Anderson. Frank huddled eleven excellent student-athletes with Walt.
