Recently the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Long Island had a most successful award dinner at the Salisbury Club in Eisenhower Park, East Meadow, L.I. Approximately one hundred alumni, wives and friends of Dartmouth gathered on a snowy night to hear Coach Bob Blackman recount the trials and tribulations of the past gridiron season. He also gave a personal narration to a series of football films which gave all present a real insight into the season. A number of high school students who have shown some proficiency in football were among the audience and surely were impressed.

A highlight of the evening came when Club President Sabin Danziger '64 presented the famed Long Island TOMAHAWK award to past president, Gordon McKernan'42. Gordie has been a loyal supporter of the club for many years and well deserved the honor bestowed upon him.

Our enrollment liaison representative, Jack Jenness '44, has had a very fruitful enrollment season which included an extremely interesting session at the Westbury Manor with the discussion led by the college's local man, Sam Smith.

The next major event on our calendar is a presentation of the glee club's bicentennial pageant at the Garden City High School on April 18. All local alumni will be hearing more shortly.
